3 of 5 Size matters April 4, 2014

Got this for the GF. Cigarette-length KR808D-1 batteries will fit, anything longer won't fit in the case. The case is only 4 inches long. I got her four 5 inch XL KR808D-1 donkey batteries (heh). If it don't fit... you must a-quit.

However, a cool feature is an on-board battery that can charge your mini-battery w/o needing a power source to plug into - you'll need to charge the on-board battery using the attached USB cable 1st though. If the battery should die the USB cable will still do it's thing.

Two slots next to the on-board battery seem to be meant for disposable cartomizers. I matched these donkeys with a clearomizer instead - which don't fit in the little slots, width-wise or length-wise (that's what SHE said). If you have XL Donkey batteries &/or clearomizers you'll just have to do without extra protection until someone makes a "Magnum" size case.

3 of 5 Was a great little value add September 10, 2013

Batteries did recharge in about 2 hours from dead-ish and the pcc can recharge the batteries 3 or 4 times. Even the micro cord isn't that much of a hindrance though I don't recommend dangling the unit from it (I use a laptop USB hub off my HTPC to extend the distance and let it lay down). The pcc itself recharges in about 5 or 6 hours from dead without a battery attached, overnight otherwise. The only complaint is that the carts do click noticeably if I keep it in my back pocket and walk around. The hardcase and look was a big factor and for the money, the value can't be beat.

Edit: After 3.5 months, the charger is starting to flake out. It won't charge certain batteries, even new ones. I have a usb charger so I know it's not the batteries. I'm ordering a second to see if it's just this unit or if I'm going to have to buy a new one every three months.

3 of 5 Heavy and no instructions July 24, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Baltimore, MD United States
Yeah it is a bit heavy for its' size.  There is no denying that this thing is not your ordinary cigarette case.  Also the thing does not come with instructions and does not seem to automatically charge the KR808d-1 battery when screwed in.

What seems to work for me is to screw in the battery and press the button located between the 2 led.  The LED closest to the battery with go red.  continue to hold the button until it flashes 3-4 times and let go.  If the battery needs to recharge, it will then stay a constant lit red.  When the led goes out, the KR808D-1 should be charged.

Simple instructions would have made this a 4 star item.  Having instructions and being lighter 5 stars.

1 of 5 Worked for 1 charge July 15, 2013
Reviewer: Nick E from Chicago, IL United States
Very disappointed.  My case worked for one charge and now it's Ka-put! It's basically just an expensive carrying case.  The USB charger inside is not secure and rattles around when walking with it in my pocket.  Not well put together.  Very disappointed.  I plan to return it and will update accordingly if litecig remedies my situation.
